I decided to venture out and go to the movies last night via the bus. So the buses here dont come often but I guess I was lucky that the bus came at all. Waiting for the bus is a little painful 5 minutes in and everything is going numb. The bus shows up and I am stoked. So I finally make it in to town and decide to make my way to the theatre, only after stopping at 7-eleven for some treats. I got my first show here, ladies in Jack Daniels bomber jackets and Canadian visors, sweet. I wish I had pics. Anyways make it to the theatre and the line-up is out the door and long, it's -25 outside so this is brutal. It's me and a bunch of teenagers wearing sneakers and hoodies, wtf. I went to go see Gran Torino with Clint Eastwood, coolest old man ever. The theatre was filled with the over 60 crowd and me. The movie is about an old racist man and yada yada there are some good lines. Go see this movie.
On my bus ride home I met the nicest bus driver ever. He was from Burnaby and had a thick asian accent. He chated me up told me about his time at Fort Mac and even offered me a smoke, what a nice guy. People here are very nice and patient, so far so good.
On my way home I decided to put my keys in a safe place so I could find them quickly. Of course I get to my door and WHERE ARE MY KEYS? I couldn't find them and at this point my hand is freezing up into a claw because i had to take my glove of for the search. Eventually I had to get my roomate to let me in. Damn it's cold here.
