So today I learned from my friend/co-worker/space sharer that a long time ago it was discussed that a nuclear bomb could be used to extract oil from the land. Similar to how insitue works where steam is used to extract the oil. I would have loved to be at that meeting where this option came up, "alright guys, thought about this last night while having a bath, NUCLEAR bomb! right? RIGHT!!" Lucky for us and some bison and bunnies there was a no nuclear proliferation dealy going on.
