Today was a beautiful day so Erin, Marie-Noelle and I decided to go walk around. We did a bunch of neighbourhood around here. First we hit up the harvest festival in Strathcona, we entered a raffle for a gift certificate to the cheese restaurant nearby, I hope I win. Then we went to the cheese store on Hastings, it's pretty cool but really expensive, seriously a handful of cranberries in a pretty bag for $4.75, was it a joke? Then we headed to Gastown and walked through the market and hit up the chili cook off. There were fireman there that Marie-Noelle is attracted to like a fat kid on smarties. Look how happy she looks in the picture!! There were some funky chilies for sure, complete with pineapples and pickled cranberries. After some chili we were off to do some window browsing, I like shopping in stores that I can for sure not afford, I didn't spend a penny. We ran into Hagen at Block, most of you know who he is and how I feel about him. We had a nice chat, a nice superficial chat. Lastly we made it to Yaletown and sat on a patio and enjoyed the sun and the view of people in fantastic outfits. And to quote Marie-Noelle "I couldn't be friends with a guy who was prettier than me". After some eats we visited some home decor stores where one sold a pack of chalk in a pretty box for $29, I know, I know...what recession?
Girl Talk / Big Walk / $29 pack of chalk
So last night Dean and I went to Girl Talk, this is the forth and probably last time I will go. It was alright. But the douche bag factor was high. You can see from most of the pics that everyone is like 19 and the guys are jocks. It was disturbing. We did do what we were there to do, dance. It's scary when guys who normally wear tap out wear OBEY, it has me worried.
