NYC, will it ever end

Day 12

Today is Brooklyn bridge day. Us ladies finally got to walk across the bridge. It was a beautiful day again, it hasn't been cloudy once since we have gotten to New York. We walked the bridge then walked around Brooklyn Heights, this is a nice area, old brick houses, little markets, just lovely.

Editor's note: The boys also walked across the bridge but then took the train back. Harry didn't want to get shot in the cute neighbourhood.

Once back in NYC we went for lunch at some random cafe. My aunt tested out the bathrooms for us and came back to tell us that they were the scariest she has seen and that we should go together. So I accompany my mom down the stairs to which she point out the squished cockroach, ughhh god not again. The bathroom is in this creepy basement room so my tells me to yell if something happens while I am waiting for her. I look around, everything seems fine....until I STEP ON A COCKROACH and squeal and run. Ughh god it was aweful, so aweful. Then I had to eat my lunch which was a fried vegi burger (what's the point of that?). Let me tell you, that was a crunchy sandwich. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. We spent the remainder of the day walking the financial district and hanging out in Battery park. We wanted to go see a Broadway show but of course as it was the long week-end everything was sold out so we went out for thai food and watched Julie and Julia at the movie theatre. I liked the movie a lot, Julia Child is a very funny lady.

Day 13

Today we hit up Central Park, but this time we started up at like 87th and worked our way down. The park is beautiful and starting up higher is better because it's not full of tourists and horse drawn carriages. We hit up some fifth ave shopping, Juicy was by far my favorite store. Forget the jumpsuits, their jewllery is so cool and reasonably priced. I wanted this one super cool bracelet, but lets be honest I busted the bank a while ago. So my aunt bought it, I am still jealous. Today was an exciting day because at 2 we were going to see Wicked, an awesome Broadway play. This was Dean's first ever Broadway type show. We had great seats, 10th row, middle. Best view. The show was awesome and the girls who sang in the show were awesome. If you are ever in NYC go see this show. We got to go backstage after the show because one of the musicians plays Legere Reeds. All the stuff was pretty cool, it was cool to be facing out onto the audience and see the larger than life production in the background. The show is fully automated by the way, so no one is in the background pulling ropes and stuff. We got to have dinner with John Mozes, he is the musician. He was very interesting and told us lots about the show and his history in music. For the rest of the evening Dean and I hung out in his hotel and drank warm beer, they didn't have a fridge. Dean surprised me with this ring I liked in SOHO that he went back to get for me. It was my bday gift. It's lovely and soo me and you will see it in some of the pics to follow.
